Welcome to techtoday.de

I cover technology that is interesting to me either as a consumer or in my role as an IT Executive including Windows, Lync, SharePoint, iOS, VMWare, Windows Phone, Apps and WebServices.

I have added a dedicated section to Wearable Computing as the next revolutionary step and the mayor technology disruption of the coming years.

Vista Market share still bigger than Mac OS X, Linux and Android together

(by Silicon Alley Insider)

This puts it into perspective – a completely hated Operating System (which I love by the way and use every day) beats many highly hyped OS in the market.

But the main question is – what’s up with Windows XP? I mean – yes it was nice 10 years ago, but really? 42%? If you don’t like Vista go to Windows 7 but to still run on XP is quite hard to understand. Whenever I have to sit down in front of an XP system I am not even able to use it anymore.
