I have been looking for a good “MAC OS Dock-like” experience on my Windows machines for quite a while and tried out several apps.
After running Object Dock now for a couple of weeks I have to say I am very pleased with the product and it works almost exactly like the OS X Dock:
Very smooth, all the same settings and if you choose to hide the Windows taskbar (like me) than you sometimes could easily forget that you are actually running Windows. And don’t get me wrong – there is nothing inherently wrong with the Windows Taskbar – I quite like it in Windows 7. However on my Vista machines I prefer the Dock over the Vista Taskbar.
Try it for your self – it is free and just works. Setup wont take you longer than 5 minutes. The docklets are not very customizable – I wish there were more for business users, but again – it is a free product.
