(graph from SAI)
With the upcoming announcement of Windows 8 next week and possibly Windows 8 Phone at the same time I thought that this graph was really interesting.
Microsoft has still almost 78% of the share of total digital traffic (based on Web browsers). This is an US chart so the high percentage of Mac OS wouldn’t be seen outside the US. Also the decline of Mac OS traffic is relatively higher than the decline of traffic from Windows – meaning the Mobile market is infringing on all platforms not just on Windows.
Another remarkable number is the iOS percentage – Android supposedly has a much higher market share in the Smartphone market but iOS (thanks to iPad and iPod Touch) is clearly in the lead here.
The increase in “other” can only be Windows Phone considering the overall decline of the Blackberry.
