Even though the Surface Pro seems to be available for US customers – even in the sought after 128GB version – it is still unclear what Microsoft’s international plan is for distribution of its flagship hardware.
Canadians can get Surface Pros, but only the 64GB version. Everyone else can get – nothing. It seems there are also no plans yet for international availability. Was Microsoft surprised that people actually want to buy their hardware or what is going on?
I can understand that Dell or Lenovo are a little bit reluctant in providing new Windows 8 based models (try to get a XPS 12 without an 8 week wait time, or try to get any of the Lenovo models, like the Helix, at all) – but Microsoft should just be able to provide as many of these as needed by the market, and by that I mean the whole market – not just the US.
