Apple remains on top of PC shipments in Q2/2013

Slowly most of us realize that we are not in a post-PC area but that the PC of today just looks different. Canalys is one of the few companies who follow this idea when it comes to marketshare and PC shipment analysis.

By taking all PC form-factors into account (Desktops, Notebooks and Tablets) Apple is the leads with over 17%, however down 2.3% compared to 12 month ago:

Apple's number include only 20% Macs, and the decrease in iPad sales over the last month was mainly responsible for the 2% decrease year over year. To stay on top and not get passed by main competitor Samsung (only in fourth place here but with an amazing growth rate) Apple has to ship innovative new products this fall - just an evolutionary update of the iPad Mini (Retina Display?) won't be enough.
